Valves are a critical component in a Building Management System and its ability to respond to the physical environment. HVAC systems inside commercial buildings have complex water or steam piping systems that depend on valves to regulate flow. Typical applications include data centers, cooling towers, central system shutoff and bypass piping control, thermal storage, and chiller and boiler control.
The data points that come from valves help ensure a building’s ability to be energy efficient, safe and comfortable. HVAC costs can account for up to 40% of energy costs in a commercial building.
